Kitchen
Kitchen as Sculpture – Architecture in Dialogue
In a newly built villa, we were commissioned to design the kitchen as the heart of the home – a solution that integrates seamlessly into the architectural language while asserting a powerful presence.
In contrast to the almost entirely white interior, a kitchen in deep anthracite was created – a calm, sensual counterpoint full of character. A composition that brings depth and structure to the space.
The freestanding island, precisely placed beneath the gallery, aligns with the home’s visual axes. Clearly defined, yet gently woven into the architectural whole. The countertops, crafted from black lava stone, introduce an earthy strength and tactile richness – matte, porous, timeless.
The island bridges the transition to the dining area and becomes a place of arrival, of exchange, of daily rituals – reduced in form, abundant in expression.
